To create a LinkedIn subgroup for your department or university-affiliated organization, you will need to contact Mary Morgan, associate director of Alumni Relations, at morgan@iup.edu.
Information that Must be Included
When you submit your request, include the following information in your e-mail for accurate set-up of your new subgroup.
Logo
If there is a logo, artmark, etc. that is attached to your department or organization, include it as an e-mail attachment.
Name
Include the title that you would like to be displayed.
Subgroup Type
Choose from:
- Alumni Group
- Corporate Group
- Conference Group
- Networking Group
- Nonprofit Group
- Professional Group
- Other
Summary
A brief description of your subgroup and its purpose. Your summary will appear in the Groups directory.
Description
Full description of this subgroup which will appear on your subgroup pages.
Website
The URL attached to your department or organization.
Access
- Auto-Join: Any member of the group may join this subgroup without requiring approval by a manager. The subgroup will appear in the Subgroups directory of the group.
- Request to Join: Users must request to join the subgroup and be approved by a manager. The subgroup will appear in the Subgroups directory of the group.
