
Dr. Linda Klingaman is a professor of Health and Physical Education and graduate coordinator of the Master of Education in Health and Physical Education program. Dr. Klingaman received her Bachelor of Science degree from Lock Haven University and her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Penn State University.
Currently Dr. Klingaman teaches Health Science Instruction and Evaluations in Health and Physical Education at the undergraduate level and instructs Health Science, Current Literature, Research Methods, and Seminar at the graduate level. Dr. Klingaman also supervises student teachers. Her duties as the graduate education coordinator include aligning the curriculum to meet state and national standards for teacher educators.
Before coming to IUP, Dr. Klingaman was a public school teacher and counselor for seventeen years. She also instructed courses for Penn State University in the Counselor Education and Health Education programs.
Dr. Klingaman’s research interests and publications focus on adolescent risk behaviors. She has been an author for a leading national health textbook series for middle school students. Dr. Klingaman is a regular presenter at national and state conferences for health and physical education educators.
