Dr. Robert E. Alman II

Education:

  • B.S. in Biology, Secondary Education from CALU
  • M.S. in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University
  • Doctoral in Administration & Leadership Studies from IUP

Responsibilities/Achievements/Research:

Dr. Alman is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Center for Health Promotion and Cardiac Disease Prevention, and oversees testing in the areas of body composition, cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility. In addition, the center conducts various faculty and student research projects.

Professional experiences include three years of public school teaching in the area of Life Science and 11 years as director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness Programming at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Alman serves as the volunteer strength and conditioning coach for the Indiana Area Senior High School girls’ volleyball team. He is an instructor for the Criminal Justice Training Center at IUP, and has been a presenter at national, regional, and local meetings in the fields of cardiac rehabilitation, stress, and health and wellness education.
