Education and Educational Technology

Students sitting in courtyard area in front of the Suites on Maple West

Located in Ruddock Hall, this residential learning community enables students to interact with others in the College of Education and Educational Technology, with an emphasis in undergraduate programs in Early Childhood (pre-K–Grade 4)/Special Education and Middle-Level (grades 4–8)/Special Education. Students can join study groups to assist with difficult classes and participate in unique academic programs offered to the residents in the community. Students are encouraged to collaborate as partners in the success of tomorrow’s teachers, promote discussion of current events as they affect the quality of education, share creative pedagogical ideas, and encourage diverse perspectives to challenge their own understanding. The residential community provides a commonality among students which will range from those taking their first Praxis exam to student teachers appreciative that their peers understand the demands and challenges of student teaching.
