How to Reset Your Own PASSHE Active Directory Password

Employees and students have the ability to set their own PASSHE Active Directory passwords using URSA. This password is used to access the Employee Self-Service (ESS) system.

  1. Log in to URSA with your Banner ID and PIN. If you’ve forgotten your PIN, click Forgot PIN? If you are unable to successfully reset your PIN, you will need to contact the appropriate office to have your PIN reset:
    1. Students must go to the Registrar’s office in Clark Hall with your I-Card to have the PIN reset.
    2. Employees may contact the Office of Human Resources at 724-357-2431.
  2. After successfully logging in, select Personal Information and Surveys.
  3. Select Password Reset Options.
  4. Select the PASSHE check box in the Click to Change column.
  5. Click Set Selected Passwords.
  6. Click Proceed.
  7. Review the Password Change Requirements very carefully. Enter the password you wish to use in the Enter your NEW Password box. Re-enter the password you wish to use in the Confirm your NEW Password box.
  8. Click Set Selected Passwords.
  9. If the password change was successful, you will see a message indicating that your password was successfully changed.

If there was a problem, review the error message carefully, and try again to reset the password. If you continue to have problems, please contact the IT Support Center.
  10. Click Exit to end your URSA session.
