IUP Student Giving Programs

Odds are that you as a student receive some kind of financial aid, either in loans, grants, or scholarships. Ninety-one percent of IUP students do.

Donations add umph to your tuition investment

What you pay in tuition is less than 60 percent of the actual cost to educate you. In other words, it’s like buying a shirt that costs $10, but being ask to pay only $6 for it.

So, who pays the other 40 percent?

IUP receives donations from alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, and even students like you, to bridge the 40 percent gap and pay for the rising costs of education. What does this mean to you? It means a whole lot of people believe in you, care about your success, and want to make your education affordable! Without private support, your loans would be higher.

Gifts provide funds for scholarships, technology and lab equipment, library resources, travel and research, and building/campus enhancements. Look for the chalking and lawn signs around campus for examples.

YourIUPThe Annual Giving Office works to raise the funds that benefit you and make IUP an even better place. We are grateful to those that give to IUP. You should be too! Do you want to get involved with making your university an even stronger place?

The Annual Giving Office also has a special opportunity for seniors. The Senior Class Gift Committee works as a group to determine what might benefit IUP most and organizes a campaign to raise the funds--allowing the graduating class to leave a legacy. Your participation helps to make IUP a better place--strengthening the value of the degree you earn--and having that kind of committee experience on your resume impresses future employers. Use the form below to volunteer for the Senior Class Gift Committee, which will begin meeting later in the school year.

There are lots of ways that you can give thanks and become involved…

Ensuring IUP has more resources makes your university a stronger place!
