Slavery, States’ Rights, and Secession: A Conversation on the Sesquicentennial Anniversary of the U.S. Civil War

March 14, 2011

Spring 2011 will mark the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the American Civil War, the bloodiest conflict in the nation’s history. Come and witness a conversation on the issues that led to the Crisis of Union from 1861 to 1865. IUP faculty and students will provide a lesson in “living history” as they portray different participants in the sectional debate between North and South.
