Internal (IUP) Funding Opportunities

IUP faculty and staff members have several options when seeking funding from IUP.

Funds are available from the University Senate and from the School of Graduate Studies and Research, which administers funds for research and professional development support programs on behalf of the provost. Funding opportunities for students are available through other mechanisms; see Research Funding for Students.

University Senate Awards
The University Senate supports two Senate grant programs, the Small Grant and Senate Fellowship awards.
President's Advancing Grantsmanship Awards
IUP incentivizes and recognizes submission of external (non-IUP) grant and contract proposals by providing $2,500 in professional development funds to qualifying faculty.
Research and Professional Development Support
IUP supports research-related costs, including some publication costs and expenses in the pursuit of external funding.
Faculty Professional Development Council (FPDC) Grants
IUP faculty members can request grants of up to $10,000 for professional development proposals in five categories.
