Congratulations on your acceptance to Indiana University of Pennsylvania! We are glad you’ll be joining us. You’re choosing an exciting and enriching new way of life.

Students who are the most successful understand the expectations of being a college student, know how to get involved and meet people, and understand some of the issues they may face in the transition to college. As well, proper advising and appropriate course selection are critical to first-year success. The goal of Orientation is to help you transition from high school or another institution to IUP. The more familiar you are with IUP, the more likely you are to be successful here.

Orientation helps you to enroll in appropriate courses and introduces you to the academic offerings at IUP and the role and benefits of having academic advisors. You will also be introduced to campus life and services. You’ll learn a lot, meet other new students, work with peer advisors, and have fun, too!

Our Orientation programs are structured to help prepare you for your first semester at IUP.
