Understanding the Rhythms of Teaching and Learning

Come to this workshop on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at the Crimson Event Center, Folger Hall. “Understanding the Rhythms of Teaching and Learning” will run from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m.

All faculty members are welcome. Refreshments will be served!

We will explore various aspects of the “rhythms of the semester” that may affect your teaching and affect student learning. Using a series of mini-lectures and small group activities, we will explore questions such as:

  • What are “rhythms” of the semester?
  • What are the rhythms of your semester?
  • What have others written about the rhythms of the semester?
  • How would you apply what you have learned about the rhythms of teaching to one or more of your courses?
  • In what other ways can I use rhythms effectively?
