Come to this workshop on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at the Crimson Event Center, Folger Hall. “Understanding the Rhythms of Teaching and Learning” will run from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m.
All faculty members are welcome. Refreshments will be served!
We will explore various aspects of the “rhythms of the semester” that may affect your teaching and affect student learning. Using a series of mini-lectures and small group activities, we will explore questions such as:
- What are “rhythms” of the semester?
- What are the rhythms of your semester?
- What have others written about the rhythms of the semester?
- How would you apply what you have learned about the rhythms of teaching to one or more of your courses?
- In what other ways can I use rhythms effectively?
