Former IUP baseball shortstop Paul Bingham was called up July 17, 2010, to the Eugene Emeralds of the Class A Northwest League. Before the promotion, he played twenty games for the Arizona Rookie League Padres in Peoria, Ariz.
Bingham, PSAC West Player of the Year and First Team All-American, was drafted by the San Diego Padres this past June in the twentieth round of the Major League Baseball Draft.
