This summer, the IUP Excellence in Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ExcEL Center), in conjunction with Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, will hold the first-ever Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp (PDF brochure) at no charge to local high school students.

Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp Information

  • Who: Ambitious high school students in the area
  • Where: Eberly College of Business and Information Technology
  • When: June 21 to June 25, 2010 (9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
  • Why: To strengthen resumes and college applications, build connections, and learn about the business world
  • How Much: Free 

This five-day commuter camp is being offered to incoming high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. From 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp will expose aspiring future business leaders to a variety of business concepts such as leadership, business planning, and financial management, while also teaching them to “think outside the box.” Students who participate in the Entrepreneur-in-Training Camp will have the opportunity to hear from successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and other business professionals while competing for $1,500 in various prizes, including cash!
