Biochemistry Students Present at National Conference on Undergraduate Research

Two Biochemistry majors, Deanna Belsky and Jonathan Henninger, presented two papers at the twenty-fourth National Conference on Undergraduate Research, April 15–17, 2010.

The annual gathering, held at the University of Montana, included 2,600 scholars and their faculty mentors from all institutions of higher learning in the United States. The two other biochemistry major students who co-authored the paper were Chin Hong Siew and Shan Min Chin. The cost of presentation was partly funded by the School of Graduate Studies and Research, the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Biology Department, and the Army Research Office (ARO). The research was mentored by Drs. Seema Bharathan and N. Bharathan from the Biology Department. The research project was funded by a grant from the ARO.
