On Tuesday, April 20, 2010, Dr. Maureen McHugh will present on “Why Women Earn Less and What You Can Do about It.”

The gender wage gap begins as early as the first year after a woman graduates from college, and over a forty-year career, college-educated women will have an average lifetime loss of roughly one million dollars.

$mart $tart Workshops are designed to ensure that women graduating from college start their careers knowing how to negotiate for fair and equal pay.

This presentation is being offered in collaboration with the American Association of University Women, the Wage Project, and the President’s Commission on the Status of Women and will be held in the Hadley Union Building from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
