Graduate Counseling Programs Information Session at Monroeville Site

Learn more about IUP’s graduate Counseling programs offered at IUP’s Monroeville site by attending an information session on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.

During the session, program coordinator Dr. Robert Witchel will present information about the benefits of earning a graduate degree in Counseling from IUP, program curriculum and format, and the admission process.

The M.A. in Community Counseling program prepares students to work in a variety of mental health-related settings, including specialized community agencies, drug and alcohol treatment programs, correctional institutions, vocational or rehabilitation programs, social services, business and industry, and health care settings.

The M.Ed. in School Counseling with Certification program prepares students for secondary school counselor certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Throughout the program, students learn the necessary skills to support students by providing guidance in career awareness, personal development, decision making, interpersonal communications, educational planning, and community involvement.

IUP’s Counseling programs are CACREP-accredited.
