IUP at Punxsutawney recently celebrated Black History Month with a poetry reading. Students and faculty members read poems by such poets as Langston Hughes, Frances Harper, and Maya Angelou. In addition, IUP at Punxsutawney’s Divine Praise Gospel Choir performed.
Following the reading, everyone attending enjoyed the delicious refreshments put together by Chef Bob and his staff. The buffet included some of Martin Luther King’s favorite foods: fried chicken, pecan pie, and corn bread.
