Free Planetarium Show: X-Ray Vision of the Sky

On Wednesday evening, February 24, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Ken Coles, Department of Geosciences, will present a planetarium show entitled “New Eyes: Gamma-ray and X-ray Astronomy.” The show takes place in the IUP Planetarium and will consider what these energetic forms of light are, how they are observed, and what they show us about objects in the sky.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m., and the show will run about forty minutes.

Seating for the shows is first-come, first-seated; it's not feasible for us to take advance reservations. If you want to bring a large group (ten or more people), please contact us so we can discuss how to accommodate you, as seating is limited. 724-357-5626 or
