The Journalism Department’s alumnae Stephanie Rosenberger and Kris Levan went into business for themselves after being laid off from a local company last fall.
The women had been coworkers in its marketing department, and before losing their jobs, they’d been thinking about starting a side project. Rosenberger said budget reductions were taking the fun out of their work, so they were looking for something extra to keep themselves going.
So they adopted Big Girl Marketing as their name. The company offers a variety of services, including advertising and promotions, market research, branding, company name and logo selection, public relations, and event planning.
