IUP to Assist Drug-Free Coalition with Video Project

The Armstrong-Indiana Drug Free Communities Coalition, in partnership with the Armstrong-Indiana Drug and Alcohol Commission, will use a room in IUP’s McCarthy Hall to film an educational video, Intro to Drugs: What Kids Don’t Want You to Know.

The room will be transformed into a sample teen’s bedroom containing more than seventy drug-paraphernalia items. The intent is to educate parents on how their teens may be abusing drugs using everyday household objects.

Filming will take place Tuesday, January 12, 2010, and media are being invited to view the project that day from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

For more information about this project or the video, contact Carrie Bence, deputy director, Armstrong-Indiana Drug and Alcohol Commission, at 724-354-2746, extention 306.
