Price Presents Research on Preschool Teacher's Talk During Book Sharing

Lisa Hammett Price, associate professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Special Education and Clinical Services, recently presented at the National Reading Conference (NRC).

Her paper presentation, “A Qualitative Analysis of Preschool Teachers’ Talk during Book Sharing with Storybooks and Expository Books,” was coauthored with Barbara Bradley, assistant professor at the University of Kansas.

Price also served as a discussant and participated in a daily study group entitled “Approaches to Video Data Analysis: Exploring New Methods and Directions for Reading Research.”

NRC is a professional organization for individuals who share an interest in research and the dissemination of information about literacy and literacy instruction. It will change its name next year to the Literacy Research Association.
