Talwar Attends Semiconductor-based Pressure Sensor Workshop

Devki Talwar, Department of Physics, was one of the five faculty members from undergraduate institutions across the nation who participated in a hands-on Semiconductor-based Pressure Sensor Workshop, October 13–17, 2009, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the aim of this highly intensive week-long workshop was to encourage faculty members to implement part or all of the information (if possible) in their Physics/Engineering curriculum.

During his stay in Albuquerque, Devki also had the opportunity to meet with Sanjay Krishna, associate director of the Center for High Technology Materials, University of New Mexico, and discussed with him on his recent work on Quantum Dot Infrared Photo-detectors.
