On Saturday, December 12, 2009, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., the African American Cultural Center will present the annual Kwanzaa Celebration, a cultural celebration of family, friends, and culture, in the HUB Ohio Room.
Key presenters and performers will include the Kulu West African Drum and Dance Ensemble, and Derrick Ashong, a Harvard-educated musician, lyricist, actor, and social entrepreneur who was a feature in Steven Spielberg’s Amistad. He is also the founder of Take Back the Mic, a youth empowerment agency.
