PLCB Awards Grants to IUP to Aid Fight against Underage, Dangerous Alcohol Use

IUP is one of the seventy-three community, education, and law-enforcement groups that will receive a $10,722 grant from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

A total of $729,907 was awarded to support initiatives aimed at preventing underage and dangerous drinking across Pennsylvania.

PLCB funds will be ulitlized to enhance IUP’s social norms marketing campaign, aimed at reducing high-risk drinking behaviors while increasing lower-risk drinking behaviors and abstinence. The funds will be dedicated to developing a model that serves to enagage students in the social norms marketing process from data collection, analysis, through message development and promotion.
