Duchamp, Larkin Awarded $459,776 to Study White Nose Syndrome in Bats

Dr. Jeffery Larkin and Dr. Joseph Duchamp received an external award from the Pennsylvania Game Commission in the amount of $459,776 for their project “White Nose Syndrome: Multi-state Coordination, Investigation, and Rapid Response to an Emerging Wildlife Threat.”

This is a two-year project to study White Nose Syndrome, which is associated with widespread bat mortality in the Northeastern United States, including the endangered Indiana bat. The initiative involves states in the eastern part of the country from New Hampshire to Virginia.
