IUP celebrates International Education Week October 5-8, 2009, with our kickoff lunch in the Crimson Event Center.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
In observance of International Education Week, IUP’s Office of International Education has collaborated with the IUP foreign language departments and Lively Arts Series to create a variety of events to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. All events are free unless otherwise noted and are open to the public. Events are funded by the OIE and the IUP Student Activity Fee. Vouchers are available at foreign films and study abroad fairs for (possible) extra credit.
