Jon Lewis of the Department of Geoscience was elected by his peers to serve a three-year term on the U.S. Advisory Committee for Scientific Ocean Drilling (USAC).
USAC is the national advisory committee for U.S. participation in the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) and wider issues in scientific ocean drilling. Established through the U.S. Science Support Program, USAC is a peer-elected committee of twelve members intended to be broadly representative of the scientific community.
