On Friday, October 16, 2009, the IUP Small Business Development Center, along with the IUP Office of Workforce Education and Economic Development, will be conducting a program entitled “Manufacturers’ Forum: Innovation for Survival and Profit” at the Crimson Event Center.
The program will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and include a lunch.
The focus of the program is on developing processes to foster and nurture innovation within manufacturing firms. The target audience for this program is small manufacturers and IUP personnel who are interested in this subject.
At this workshop, participants will:
- Learn how to develop better, new product faster from veterans who have done it
- Gain critical insights into how to be sure you are solving the right problem
- See how looking (observation) at potential customers can produce more insights than talking to them
- Learn from pros who have done it many times
Please review the forum flyer. After reviewing the material we hope you will decide to join us on October 16. Register now to participate and engage in this timely issue and challenge.
