The Center for Student Success will be starting up a new service in the Fall 2010 semester. There is a job opportunity for current sophomores and juniors to be peer mentors.
Applicants must have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA for a minimum of 28 credits taken at IUP. Interested students must apply by October 7, 2009 (applications are available on the website). Successful applicants will be required to take COUN 253, Counseling in School Settings, in the Spring 2010 semester before beginning work in Fall 2010. This position entails signing a work contract for an academic year (Fall and Spring semester, fifteen weeks each semester) with a commitment of fifteen hours weekly at the student work-study hourly rate. Undergraduates who are interested in counseling or clinical graduate training might want to apply.
