Hollingsworth Awarded Scholarships for Graduate Study

Seana Hollingsworth, a second-year graduate student in the Speech-Language Pathology program, was awarded several scholarships in the last year.

  • She received the Sertoma Communication Disorders Scholarship of $1,000 to help cover tuition, books, and supplies. This scholarship is awarded to those with strong academic achievement and personal qualities.
  • She received the Gay Keiser Scholarship, a scholarship that honors the memory of Mrs. Gay Keiser, who served at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit for twelve years. Each year, $1,000 is presented to a qualified student enrolled in a full-time master’s degree program in speech/language pathology within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be pursuing a career in the schools.
  • She received an IUP Graduate Merit Scholarship of $500.

Seana is currently at East Pike Elementary School completing the first of two semester-long externships.
