Klein Appointed to State Advisory Committee for Deaf Education

Dee Klein, professor in the Department of Special Education’s Deaf Education program, has been appointed to a state-level advisory committee for Deaf Education.

The Educational Resources for Children with Hearing Loss committee works to improve academic outcomes for all deaf and hard-of-hearing children in Pennsylvania. She represents higher education on the committee, and her current work on the committee focuses on increasing the number of students who apply for Deaf Education and Educational Interpreting degree programs in Pennsylvania. She is working with Harrisburg and PaTTAN East to produce recruiting DVDs and print/electronic media.
