Dr. R. Scott Moore of the IUP History Department recently presented a paper, “The Pyla-Koutsopetria Archaeological Project: Season 7,” at the twenty-seventh annual CAARI Archaeological Workshop (2009), in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities Cyprus in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The paper presented the results from the project’s 2009 season of excavation of three areas in the Pyla region (Bronze Age fortress, Hellenistic military garrison, and Late Roman village) and described the project’s plans for next season.
