EMT Basic Training Program Offered for Fall 2009

The IUP Highway Safety Center’s Division of Emergency Services Training announces the start of the Fall 2009 EMT—Basic Training Program.

This is a 128-hour course intended to prepare the participant to deliver prehospital emergency medical care. The EMT-B course is designed for individuals desiring to work on an ambulance as well as others who may be in positions where emergency medical training would be beneficial. This would include immediate response personnel (IRP), rescue personnel, coal miners, allied health professionals, EMS dispatchers, safety professionals, school nurses, nursing majors interested in becoming a prehospital R.N., etc.
