Science-Oriented Students Headed to Electro-Optics Camp

High-school students will take part in Electro-Optics camps at IUP's Northpointe campus in Summer 2009. Two groups of twenty-four students will take part in one of two five-day camps, learning about wave optics, electronics, fiber optics, holography, infrared imaging, lasers, nanotechnology, and other subjects.

The Electo-Optics camps are sponsored by Indiana University of Pennsylvania at Northpointe and Penn State’s Electro-Optics Center. They are funded through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. These free camps are open to any students entering tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grade this fall.
