Drs. Katie Farnsworth, Jon Lewis, and Michael Poage of the IUP Geoscience Department attended a national workshop on Building Strong Geoscience Departments held at the College of William and Mary.
Participants discussed and created plans to build on the strengths of their own departments as well as the field of Geosciences as a whole. This workshop was funded by the National Science Foundation and sponsored by the National Association of Geoscience Teachers, the American Geological Institute, the Geological Society of America, and the American Geophysical Union.
