The Department of Chemistry held its commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 3, 2009, in Weyandt Hall to recognize those students graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science Chemistry Education, and Master of Science in chemistry.
Bachelor of Science Graduates
- Ms. Brittany Buterbaugh (magna cum laude) will attend Penn State as a doctoral candidate in inorganic chemistry
- Mr. Andrew Crawford (magna cum laude) will enter the workforce
- Mr. Andrew Kerr (magna cum laude, Dec. 2008) will attend George Washington University as a doctoral candidate in inorganic chemistry
- Ms. Beth Leverett (magna cum laude) will attend University of Michigan as a doctoral candidate in inorganic materials chemistry
- Ms. Jessica Nichol (summa cum laude) will attend Penn State as a doctoral candidate in organic chemistry
- Ms. Elizabeth Paladin (summa cum laude) will attend Pitt University as a doctoral candidate in biological chemistry
- Mr. Jarod Sterrett will enter the workforce
