H1N1 Update for Study Abroad and International Students

The Office of International Education is closely monitoring the developing situation regarding H1N1 (swine flu). We are providing the links below for information purposes for the IUP community when planning or deciding to continue travel and/or study plans.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the pandemic alert level to Level 5, which “is characterized by human-to-human spread of the virus into at least two countries in one WHO region.”

At this time, the IUP faculty-led study abroad program to Cuernavaca, Mexico has been canceled. Nonetheless, this situation is evolving. And it is possible that some programs may be canceled in the coming days or weeks to ensure the safety of the IUP community once more information becomes available.
