Monte Tidwell, associate professor in the Department of Professional Studies in Education, gave a presentation titled How Urban Professional Department Schools Raise Student Achievement: Focusing Our Attention on Struggling Students at the National Association for Professional Development Schools Conference (NAPDS) in Daytona Beach, Fla., on March 13, 2009.
He discussed the success of the "Three Student Project" in raising test scores of struggling students based on two years of data.
