The Applied Research Lab invites you to have Stats for Lunch: “A Presentation on AMOS: A Program for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Produced by SPSS.”

Presented by James Bowers and Ben Jarrett, ARL graduate assistants

SEM is a way to test and estimate causal relationships using statistical data and qualitative causal assumptions. Topics to be covered:

  • Assumptions, uses, and applications for Structural Equation Modeling in general
  • Overview of using AMOS for modeling, including the Basics (creating the model, data input, etc.) and Hypothesis Testing and Factor Analysis

Bring a lunch if you wish. Beverages, fruit, and cookies will be provided.
