GIA Publications recently released a two-disc set of compositions by Dr. Jack Stamp, chairman of the IUP Department of Music, recorded by the North Texas Wind Symphony and the Keystone Winds. The disc, appearing in the GIA series Composer’s Collection, features nineteen original compositions by Dr. Stamp. On February 22, Dr. Stamp conducted the premiere of his “Tar Heel Sketches” with the North Carolina Northwest District High School Band in Boone, N.C.
