Dr. Sarah Neusius, of IUP’s Department of Anthropology, guest edited “A Model Applied Archaeology Curriculum,” which was published as a special section of the January 2009 SAA Archaeological Record.
This section includes Neusius’ report on the model curriculum developed by the Society for American Archaeology’s Committee on Curriculum, which she chairs. It also includes commentary from archaeologists in the academic, private, and government sectors about this approach to training applied archaeologists.
