Science Education Program Receives Accreditation

All of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics science education programs (Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Earth and Space Science Education, and Physics Education) have just received full national recognition from the National Science Teacher Education Association. The NSTA is a prestigious and rigorous NCATE Specialized Accrediting organization. Previously, the Secondary Mathematics Education program was fully accredited by NCATE.

The college would like to thank the faculty members who coordinate each program: Dr. Mike Briggs (Chemistry), Dr. Ken Coles (Geoscience), Dr. Stan Sobelewski (Physics), Dr. Holly Travis (Biology), and Dr. Janet Walker (Mathematics).
