Lloyd Onyett, assistant dean for Technology in the College of Education and Educational Technology, gave a presentation entitled “Teaching in Virtual Worlds (Second Life)” at the 2009 Educause Mid-Atlantic Conference in Philadelphia on January 7, 2009. IUP is utilizing Second Life as a tool for teaching on-line course material in a variety of classes across the university. IUP is the fourth most popular educational site in the Second Life virtual world.
