Dr. Laurie Nicholson presented a workshop on January 8, 2009, for new cooperating teachers who will be mentoring IUP student teachers this Spring semester. The workshop included valuable information, including what cooperating teachers need to know about hosting an IUP student teacher, IUP's conceptual framework and assessment, the importance of being a mentor, practical considerations for student teachers.
