On November 15 to November 19, 2008, the city of Pittsburgh is hosting the National Tourism Association (NTA) convention, featuring a gathering of tour operators from around the world. Students from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Department of Hospitality Management will be volunteering their time to help make this event a great success.
The students from instructor Jeremy Shearer's Tourism class will be donating a combined 120 hours of their time to help with the organization of guests to the Pittsburgh region and with a variety of social events centered around the tourism industry and Pittsburgh's growth as a tourist hot spot for the mid-Atlantic region.
