HoodleBug Brass in Concert

The HoodleBug Brass, Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s faculty brass quintet, will present its annual fall recital on Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. The church is at Fourth and Church streets in Indiana. The concert is free and open to the community.

Members of the HoodleBug Brass are IUP music professors Kevin Eisensmith and David Ferguson, both on trumpet; Jack Scandrett, horn; Christian Dickinson, trombone; and Zach Collins, tuba. Christine Clewell, assistant professor of organ at IUP, will perform with the group.

Music for brass and organ will be featured, including compositions by Charpentier, Gabrieli, Nelhybel and Karg-Elert. 

The concert is the second in a series of four events planned at Trinity United Methodist Church this year in celebration of the church’s new Rodgers digital organ.
