Presenters will provide brief descriptions and/or short demonstrations of games they use and discuss the experiences that they have had using games with their students. This meeting is designed to provide the opportunity for you to (1) learn why games can serve as effective activities to promote learning and student engagement and (2) hear about or participate in a sampling of active learning, learner-centered games using a variety of media that you can adapt to include in your own teaching.
We hope you will come with your ideas and experiences to contribute as well! Games as a means to foster learning at a range of levels and to create a sense of community will be emphasized.
This program is offered by the Office of Teaching Excellence.
