An IUP fraternity and sorority were recently honored with national awards, the Office of Student Leadership and Greek Life has announced.
Kappa Sigma Fraternity received the 2008 Founders Award of Chapter Excellence. This is the highest award that any Kappa Sigma chapter can receive.
Kappa Sigma was founded at IUP in 1968 and rechartered in 2007. The chapter currently has fifty members.
Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority received a 2008 Crown chapter award.
The Crown chapter award is given for attainment of standards of chapter excellence.
Zeta Tau Alpha was founded at IUP in 1951 and currently has forty members.
