Fennimore Publishes Invited Review of New Book on Education and Social Justice

Beatrice Fennimore, Professional Studies in Education, published an invited review of the book Education, Justice, and Democracy (2014), edited by Danielle Allen and Rob Reich, in Teachers College Record in July 2014.

This 12-chapter book provided innovative insights into issues related to education and social justice in the United States.

Chapters include “Reading Thurgood Marshall as a Liberal Democratic Theorist: Race, School Finance, and the Courts” (Anna Marie Smith), “The Federal Role in Educational Equity: The Two Narratives of School Reform and the Debate over Accountability” (Patrick McGuinn), and “Racial Segregation and Black Student Achievement” (Richard Rothstein).
