Mueller and Alumna Publish Book on Multiculturalism in Higher Education

John A. Mueller, professor in the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, has coauthored Creating Multicultural Change on Campus, newly released by Jossey-Bass.

The book provides a model of multicultural organizational development in a higher education context, and presents strategies and examples of effective practice to assist higher education professionals enact multicultural change at the individual, group, and institutional levels.

Mueller’s coauthors are Amy Reynolds and Raechele Pope, both associate professors at the University at Buffalo. Pope is also a graduate of IUP, earning both a BA (1979) and an MA (1981). She is a recipient of IUP’s Distinguished Alumni Award (1996) and the College of Education and Educational Technology’s Distinguished Alumni Scholar Award (2008).

Pope, Reynolds, and Mueller are coauthors of the seminal Jossey-Bass book, Multicultural Competence in Student Affairs (2004).
