Teen Dating Violence Speaker Visits IUP

The IUP Center for Career and Technical Personnel Preparation and the Family and Consumer Sciences Education Program welcome to campus Gary Cuccia, executive director of the Demi Brae Cuccia Awareness Organization.

Cuccia will be on campus to share the story of his daughter’s tragic death in August 2007 by her ex-boyfriend just one day after her 16th birthday.

His mission is to educate our youth, parents, communities and educational system about the dangers of teen dating violence, with the ultimate goal of stopping teen dating violence before it begins.

This presentation is being offered to the IUP and Indiana communities in conjunction with the annual IUP Family and Consumer Sciences summer workshop.
